Vocational Training Begins — Fall 2026
GITVC will welcome its Founding Cohort of Vocational Training Students in Fall 2026. Five industry-aligned programs will launch in this inaugural cycle, marking a major milestone in the college’s mission to equip learners with practical, employable skills.
This first cohort represents the beginning of GITVC’s long-term commitment to delivering structured, safe, and globally relevant vocational education in Iye-Ekiti.
2026 Essay Writing Competition for Tertiary Students
GITVC’s parent organization, Gloria Charities International (GCI), in collaboration with its Nigerian affiliate, Gloria Charities Initiative, has launched the 2026 Essay Writing Competition for tertiary institution students across Nigeria.
A total of 30 winners will receive scholarships ranging from ₦100,000 to ₦50,000, supporting academic excellence and encouraging youth participation in national development.
This initiative in its 6th edition, reflects GCI’s commitment to education, empowerment, and community uplift.
2026 Summer Events to Hold in September
GITVC and its parent organization, Gloria Charities International (GCI), will host the 2026 Summer Events in Iye-Ekiti this September. This year’s lineup includes three major youth and educator-focused programs:
Teachers’ Conference
A professional development gathering for educators across Ekiti Central Senatorial District, focused on integrity, instructional excellence, and classroom leadership.
High School Students’ Seminar
A values-driven academic and career development seminar designed to inspire discipline, purpose, and technical awareness among secondary school students.
High School Students’ Cricket & Soccer Competitions
A multi-school sports event promoting teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition.
These events will herald the opening of the GITVC Campus, taking place the day after Nigeria’s Independence Day — marking a historic moment for Iye-Ekiti and the entire GITVC community.
GCI to Open New City Office & Community Library in Iye-Ekiti
After six years at its current rented facility, GCI is establishing a permanent city office and community library in the Ilefun area of Oke-Iye, Iye-Ekiti.
The facility will provide after-school and weekend access for students from neighboring high schools, including training on updated computer systems, educational tools, and supervised recreational technology.
This development strengthens GCI’s long-standing commitment to community service and youth development in Iye-Ekiti.
