Gloria International Technical & Vocational College (GITVC) invites applications from qualified, passionate and industry-experienced professionals to join its Founding Faculty as academic activities commence in October 2026.

Our Teaching Philosophy
GITVC believes that technical and vocational education is best delivered by professionals who have mastered their crafts through real industry experience.
Our students will learn by doing.
Instruction will combine classroom teaching, workshop practice, project-based learning, production activities and entrepreneurship.
Our workshops will serve not only as learning environments but also as centres for innovation, production and community engagement.
Academic Qualifications and Experience
GITVC seeks instructors who are not only academically qualified but who have demonstrated practical competence in their chosen professions.
General Requirements
Applicants should possess:
A minimum of 2–5 years of active, hands-on industry experience in their area of specialization.
Demonstrated practical competence and the ability to teach through real-world application.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong commitment to professionalism, integrity and continuous learning.
Passion for mentoring young people and adult learners.
Ability to work collaboratively in a growing institution.

Programme-Specific Requirements
Catering and Hospitality
Preferred Qualifications
- NABTEB Modular Certificate
- National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business Certificate (NBC), where applicable
- Federal Ministry of Labour Trade Test I, II or III
- National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Hospitality Management, Catering or Culinary Arts
- Degree in Hospitality Management, Food Science or a related discipline (an added advantage)
Required Competencies
- Commercial food production
- Pastry and bakery operations
- Continental and local cuisine
- Industrial kitchen operations
- Food hygiene and sanitation standards
- Catering business management
Tailoring, Fashion Design and Garment Making
Preferred Qualifications
- Federal Ministry of Labour Advanced Trade Test Certificate
- NABTEB Craft Certificate
- ND, HND or Degree in Fashion Design, Clothing Technology or a related discipline
- Recognized professional certification or an outstanding portfolio of work
Required Competencies
- Contemporary pattern drafting
- Industrial sewing machine operation
- Garment construction
- Fashion illustration
- Mass production techniques
- Garment finishing and quality control
Computer Studies and Digital Skills
Preferred Qualifications
- B.Sc., B.Tech., B.Eng. or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline
- Relevant industry certifications (CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft or equivalent) will be an added advantage
- Demonstrated software development portfolio will receive favourable consideration
Required Competencies
- Computer hardware fundamentals
- Microsoft Office and workplace productivity applications
- Internet and digital communication
- Python programming
- HTML/CSS
- JavaScript fundamentals
- Basic database concepts
- Artificial Intelligence productivity tools
- Ability to teach beginners using practical, project-based methods
Electrical Installation and Mobile Servicing
Preferred Qualifications
- NABTEB Advanced Craft Certificate
- Federal Ministry of Labour Trade Test I, II or III
- ND/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
- Recognized professional certification in mobile device servicing
Required Competencies
- Domestic and commercial electrical installation
- Electrical safety standards
- Mobile phone diagnostics
- Screen replacement
- Electronic micro-soldering
- Hardware repair
- Software flashing and device restoration
- Basic solar and inverter installation will be an added advantage
Construction and Block Making Technology
Preferred Qualifications
- NABTEB Advanced Craft Certificate
- Federal Ministry of Labour Trade Test I, II or III
- OND/HND in Building Technology or a related discipline
- Relevant construction industry certification
Required Competencies
- Block production and quality control
- Concrete mix design
- Bricklaying and masonry
- Interlocking stone production
- Site setting-out and layout
- Construction materials
- Basic quantity estimation
- Workshop and site safety
